Vidalia onion pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- oleo - 2 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- grated cheese - 1/4 c
- stick melted oleo - 1/2 item
- thin sliced onions - 2 c
- paprika and parsley - 1 item
- fine Ritz cracker crumbs - 1 c
How to make vidalia onion pie:
Mix cracker crumbs with 1/2 stick melted oleo. Press into 8-inch pie plate. Saute until clear, onions in 2 tablespoons oleo. Spoon into crust. Beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper. Pour over onions. Sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Test with knife. Garnish with parsley. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Vegetables.
