Vidalia onion pie
Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion
- margarine, melted - 1 Tbsp
- sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded - 3/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- milk - 1 c
- Italian seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- cheese crackers, crushed into crumbs
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1/4 c
How to make vidalia onion pie:
Crust:1 3/4 c. cheese crackers, crushed into crumbs1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted Crust: Mix margarine and crumbs; press into baking dish. Bake at 350° for 5 minutes.While crust is baking, saute onion in melted margarine until tender. Stir in cheese and all the rest of the ingredients. Pour into cheese cracker crust. Bake at 350° or 375° for 25 to 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
