Ingredients/Components

  • ground venison - 2 lb
  • large onion - 1 item
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • dry pinto beans - 1 lb
  • tomatoes - 1 pt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • small can tomato paste - 1 item

How to make venison chili:

Soak beans. Place in roaster with enough water to cover plus 1 inch over. Cook until almost tender, about 2 hours. Meanwhile, brown meat and onion in oil. Add this and all other ingredients to beans and return to oven for 1 hour.
