Vegetable cheese bake
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- boiling water - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped pimento - 1/4 c
- grated cheese any kind - 1/2 c
- each pkg - 2 oz
- pepper and salt - 1/4 tsp
How to make vegetable cheese bake:
In a saucepan, combine vegetables and boiling water. Bring to a boil again. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Drain well. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan. Blend in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk; simmer, stirring, until smooth and thick. Add cheese and seasonings. Mix in vegetables, onion and pimento. Spread into buttered 1-quart casserole.
