Veal casserole
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 tsp
- margarine - 5 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- onion, diced - 1 item
- tomato paste - 1 Tbsp
- garlic clove - 1 item
- red wine - 2 Tbsp
- mushrooms - 8 oz
- chicken stock - 3/4 c
- veal cubes
How to make veal casserole:
Brown veal in margarine. Take out and put in casserole. Brown onion, garlic, allspice, mushrooms, tomato paste and flour together. Simmer stock and wine separately for 5 minutes. Add to mixture and pour over veal. Cover with foil. Bake at 325° to 350° for about 50 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Stew.
