Turtle cake
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/2 c
- chocolate chips - 6 oz
- can Eagle Brand condensed milk - 1 item
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- bag caramels - 1 item
How to make turtle cake:
Mix cake as directed. Melt together caramels, butter and milk in a double boiler. Pour half of cake mix into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Remove from oven.Pour caramel mixture over cake. Spoon rest of cake batter on top of caramel mixture layer. Sprinkle chocolate chips on cake batter. Next sprinkle chopped pecans over chips. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
