- bushel tomatoes - 1/2 item
- stalks celery - 2 item
- onions - 2 item
- peppers - 2 item
- sugar - 1 c
- canning salt - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
How to make tomato soup:
Cook vegetables. Put through tomato strainer. Put back on stove. Bring to boil. Add salt, sugar and butter; add water to cornstarch to make paste. When this comes to rolling boil, seal in pint or quart jars.Recipe categories: Fruit, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
