  • sugar - 1 item
  • salt - 1 item
  • flour
  • water - 1 item
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • large can tomatoes - 1 item

How to make tomato dumplings:

Dumplings:2 c. flour1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper1/2 tsp. baking powder3/4 c. water1/4 c. oil Fill large pot 1/2 full with tomatoes and juice, sauce and water. Season with oil and pinch or two of salt and sugar. Bring to a boil. Mix flour, salt, pepper and baking powder. Add the water and oil to this and mix until it forms a ball. Roll out on a floured board very thin and cut into small squares. Drop dumplings into boiling tomatoes. Boil for a few minutes, then simmer until done. Makes 4 servings.
