Tomato and bacon soup
Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- ground black pepper - 1 item
- tomato paste - 2 3
- dried basil - 1 Tbsp
- large onion - 1 item
- x 400 g cans peeled tomatoes - 2 item
- ml water approximately, or 2 cans water - 800 item
- hand full chopped bacon - 1 item
- bacon stock cube - 1 item
- onion stock cube - 1 item
How to make tomato and bacon soup:
Fry onion and oil in large saucepan. Add bacon. Add tomatoes, water, oregano, basil and ground black pepper. Bring to boil for 10 minutes, then allow to simmer. Add tomato paste and stock cubes, more or less according to taste.May like to add a tablespoon of barbecue sauce for more "tang."
