Texas pecan cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1 lb
- baking powder
- pecan halves - 4 c
- eggs, well beaten - 6 item
- sifted all-purpose flour - 4 c
- lemon extract - 1 Tbsp
- white raisins - 2 c
How to make texas pecan cake:
Heat oven to 300°. Grease and flour 9 3/4-inch tube pan.Blend butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat until fluffy. Gradually add eggs and lemon extract and beat until blended. Sift flour and baking powder together 3 times. Add nuts and raisins to flour. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture, blending thoroughly. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.
