- salt - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- large green pepper - 1 item
- rice, uncooked - 1/4 c
- tomatoes - 1 c
- large onion - 1 item
- pepper and chili powder - 1/2 tsp
How to make texas hash:
Chop and brown onion and pepper in shortening in frypan. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Add rest of ingredients. Mix thoroughly and cook in a 2-quart casserole dish, covered. Bake at 375° for 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
