Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chili powder - 1 2
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- uncooked rice - 1/2 c
- large onions, sliced - 3 item
- large green pepper, chopped - 1 item
How to make texas hash:
Set oven at 350°. In large skillet, cook and stir meat, onions and green pepper until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, rice, salt, chili powder and pepper. Heat thoroughly. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover, bake 1 hour. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
