Tea cakes

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• vanilla - 2 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour - 6 c
• nutmeg - 3 tsp
• soda - 1 tsp
• buttermilk - 1 c
• baking powder - 3 tsp
• white Karo - 1/2 c
• mace - 1 tsp
• unbeaten eggs - 3 item
• shortening or 1 c

How to make tea cakes:

Mix first seven ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add rest of ingredients. Mix well. (Chill if desired.) Roll on floured board. Cut. Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes.
