Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 6 c
- nutmeg - 3 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- white Karo - 1/2 c
- mace - 1 tsp
- unbeaten eggs - 3 item
- shortening or 1 c
How to make tea cakes:
Mix first seven ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add rest of ingredients. Mix well. (Chill if desired.) Roll on floured board. Cut. Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Breads, Coffee cakes.
