Ingredients/Components

  • water - 3/4 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • tomato sauce - 15 oz
  • taco seasoning - 1 pkg
  • shell macaroni, cooked and drained - 8 oz
  • shredded Cheddar cheese, divided - 2 c
  • chopped chilies - 4 oz

How to make taco bake:

In a skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium heat; drain. Add the water, taco seasoning and tomato sauce; mix. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in macaroni, chilies and 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until heated through. Yields 6 servings.
