  • flour - 1 c
  • cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • carrots, sliced - 8 item
  • can tomatoes - 1 item
  • large onion - 1 item
  • steak

How to make swiss steak:

Pound flour into steaks. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Saute onion in oil in skillet. Add steak; brown on both sides. Place meat and onion in baking dish. Add carrots. Beat tomatoes with electric mixer. Pour over carrots. Bake, covered, at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
