Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 c
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- carrots, sliced - 8 item
- can tomatoes - 1 item
- large onion - 1 item

How to make swiss steak:
Pound flour into steaks. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Saute onion in oil in skillet. Add steak; brown on both sides. Place meat and onion in baking dish. Add carrots. Beat tomatoes with electric mixer. Pour over carrots. Bake, covered, at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
