Seafood gumbo
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 item
- garlic clove - 1 item
- black pepper - 1 item
- hot sauce - 1 item
- rice - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 item
- can crab meat - 1 item
- large onion - 1 item
- peeled shrimp - 1 lb
How to make seafood gumbo:
Brown flour in oil in boiling pot. Add onions and garlic and cook until clear. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, celery and salt and pepper to suit taste. Bring to boil and turn to simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add crab meat and shrimp and simmer 15 minutes more. Serve over rice.Note: When adding tomato sauce and tomatoes, add enough water to make mixture thin. As gumbo simmers, it will thicken.
