Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- melted butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- grated Swiss cheese - 2 c
- cans cut green beans, drained - 2 item
- bread or cornflake crumbs
How to make swiss green beans:
Topping:1/2 c. bread or cornflake crumbs2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine Melt margarine or butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add sour cream, stirring until smooth. Cook over low heat until sauce is bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in beans and spread in a 9 x 9-inch baking dish. Combine crumbs and butter and spread evenly over cheese. Bake uncovered at 350° for about 20 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Side dish, Cheese, Green/yellow beans.
