  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • melted butter - 1 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • crushed cornflakes
  • grated onion - 1/2 tsp
  • grated Swiss cheese - 1/4 lb
  • cans French-style green beans - 2 lb

How to make swiss green beans:

Drain green beans. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and add flour, salt, pepper, sugar, sour cream and grated onion. Fold the beans into the mixture. Spread in 2-quart buttered casserole. Sprinkle top with Swiss cheese. Top with buttered crushed cornflakes. Bake in 375° oven for 30 minutes.
