Ingredients/Components

salt
ground cinnamon
ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
clove garlic, minced - 1 item
chicken stock - 2 qt
half and half cream - 1/2 pt
almonds, toasted - 3/4 oz
onion, diced small - 3 oz
celery, diced small
Stir occasionally
leeks, diced small
sweet potatoes, diced, boiled and coarsely whipped
maple syrup Baby Brother prefers honey instead - 1 tsp
dry currants - 3/4 oz

How to make sweet potato soup:

Put all of the ingredients in a large pot and cook for one hour. Stir occasionally. Transfer to a soup tureen and serve hot. Replenish as needed. Sit back and enjoy!Soup Garnish:1 3/4 oz. heavy cream, whipped3/4 oz. almonds, toasted3/4 oz. dry currants Mix ingredients in a small bowl. Add a large tablespoon of this mixture to each individual bowl of soup at the table.
