Sweet dill pickles
Ingredients/Components
- dill pickles - 1 qt
- sugar - 2 c
- vinegar dark - 1/2 c
- whole cloves - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- sticks cinnamon - 2 item
- or 3 bay leaves - 2 item
How to make sweet dill pickles:
Pour off liquid; rinse pickles and dry. Cut in 1/3 to 1/4 inch slices. Mix sugar, vinegar, whole cloves, water, cinnamon sticks and bay leaves. Boil for 5 minutes. Pour over pickles (placed in jar).
