  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch
  • vinegar - 1/2 c
  • soy sauce
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • chicken bouillon - 1 c
  • Batter:1 egg
  • small clove garlic, diced - 1 item
  • pork, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • large green peppers, cut in six large pieces - 3 item
  • slices pineapple, cut in 6 pieces - 4 item
  • bouillon mentioned above - 2/3 c

How to make sweet and sour pork:

Batter:1 egg2 Tbsp. flour salt and pepper Sauce:2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch1 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce1/2 c. vinegar1/2 c. sugar2/3 c. bouillon mentioned above Batter: Beat until smooth.

Stir cubes of pork in batter until well coated. Drop one piece at a time into large frypan to which 3/4 cup Mazola oil has been added. Fry until golden brown, about 8 minutes; turn and brown on other side. Pour out all but 1 tablespoon oil; add 1/3 cup of the chicken bouillon, garlic, the pineapple, green peppers and pork. Cover tightly and simmer ten minutes. Blend the ingredients for the sauce and add to the pork mixture, stirring constantly until it thickens and the mixture is very hot. Serve with boiled rice. Serves 4.
