Swedish rice pudding
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1 qt
- rice
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 item
How to make swedish rice pudding:
Place cream in double boiler, adding rice and salt. Cook until thick and creamy, about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Beat the eggs and sugar and fold into the rice, stirring all the while. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Place in serving bowl and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Side dish.
