Ingredients/Components

  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • fine bread crumbs - 2/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • minced onion - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pickle relish - 1 2
  • oil or Crisco for browning - 1 Tbsp

How to make swedish meatballs:

Blend soup with 1/2 can water. Measure out 1/4 cup of mixture and combine with beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, parsley and salt. Shape into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Brown in hot oil or Crisco, then add remaining soup mixture and relish. Cover and cook over low heat about 20 minutes, stir occasionally. Serves 6.
