Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 slices
- egg - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- mashed potatoes - 1 c
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- small onion, grated - 1 item
- butter or oil for frying - 1 item
How to make swedish meatballs:
If possible, have butcher grind meats together twice to make fine. Otherwise, mix meats until well-blended. Mix in remaining ingredients. Form into small balls. Fry in butter or oil over medium heat, turning frequently. Reduce heat and simmer, covered. Cook 20 to 30 minutes total. Add water if necessary.
