Sugar cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• eggs - 2 item
• flour - 2 1/2
• shortening part butter - 3/4 c
• vanilla or 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp

How to make sugar cookies:

Mix thoroughly, shortening, sugar, eggs, and flavoring. Blend in flour. Cover and chill at least one hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured cloth covered board. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until very light brown.
