Sugar cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• eggs - 4 item
• salt - 2 tsp
• flour - 5 c
• vanilla flavoring - 1/2 tsp
• baking powder - 2 tsp
• lemon flavoring - 1/2 tsp
• soft shortening - 3/4 c
• soft oleo - 3/4 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Mix shortening, oleo, sugar, eggs and flavorings together well. Sift together dry ingredients and stir in. Chill 1 hour. Roll out 1/8-inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes. Yields 4 dozen (3-inch) cookies.
