Stuffed shells
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- ground beef - 2 lb
- oregano - 3/4 tsp
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
- seasoned bread crumbs - 1 c
- 32 oz
- box jumbo shells - 1 oz
- Parmesan cheese optional - 1 item
How to make stuffed shells:
Cook noodles according to package. Drain. Cool in a single layer on wax paper. Brown ground beef and drain. Combine meat, eggs, bread crumbs, Mozzarella cheese, onions, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix well. Fill each shell with 2 tablespoons meat. Spread a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan. Put shells with the open side down in a single layer. Cover with sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Makes 36 shells.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Pasta shells.
