Stuffed peppers
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chili powder - 2 Tbsp
- hamburger - 1 lb
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- can tomato juice - 1 item
- cooked rice
- sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
- medium bell peppers - 8 item
How to make stuffed peppers:
Cook hamburger and onion until brown. Add garlic, salt and chili powder. Add tomato juice. Simmer 10 minutes. Add cheese; stir until melted. Add rice. Let cool.Prepare Peppers: Drop pepper halves into boiling water which has a little salt added. Cook until slightly tender. Remove, drain and stuff with meat mixture. Place on cookie sheet to freeze. Then package in foil or plastic bags.
