Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano - 1/4 tsp
  • basil - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • thyme - 1/4 tsp
  • instant beef broth - 1/2 tsp
  • brown rice uncooked - 3/4 c
  • or 6 medium green peppers - 5 item

How to make stuffed peppers:

Remove tops and seed from peppers. In large kettle, bring water to boil. Cook peppers five minutes. Remove and drain. Cook rice according to instructions on package. Set aside. In a skillet brown ground beef and onions. Drain. Add tomato sauce, herbs, salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in rice. Stuff cleaned peppers with the rice mixture. Place upright in a shallow pan. Mix beef broth in 1/2 cup water. Add to pan. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
