Stuffed green peppers
Ingredients/Components
- green peppers - 3 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- uncooked instant rice - 1/2 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- dried oregano leaves - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- ketchup or spaghetti sauce - 1/4 c
How to make stuffed green peppers:
Cut green peppers in half, lengthwise. Remove seeds; set aside. Mix beef, tomato sauce, rice, egg, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Spoon into pepper halves. Place on roasting rack. Cover loosely with waxed paper. Microwave at High (100%) until green peppers are tender, 12 to 16 minutes.
