  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • garlic powder - 2 tsp
  • pepper - 2 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 2 c
  • garlic salt - 1/8 tsp
  • chopped onions - 3/4 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 5 lb
  • cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • onions, chopped - 2 Tbsp
  • cans tomato paste - 3 oz
  • Ricotta cheese - 6 oz
  • bell pepper - 1 c
  • rice, cooked - 1 c
  • green peppers - 6 item
  • sharp Cheddar - 1 c
  • lasagne noodles - 1 lb
  • salad oil or olive oil - 2 Tbsp
  • salt or Season-All - 3 tsp
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese or thinly sliced - 2 c

How to make stuffed green peppers:

In skillet, lightly brown beef, onions and bell pepper. Season at this point. Drain ground beef. Put in paste, salt, sugar, garlic powder and pepper. Add water and simmer 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook lasagne (do not overcook) and drain. In a large baking pan, spread 2 cups of sauce. Mix the Ricotta cheese and an egg until smooth. Then, alternate layers of lasagne, sauce, Ricotta cheese (dotted), Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbling. Cool; cut into squares to serve. Serves 8. Use a cookie sheet under pan while baking.
