Stuffed bell peppers
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- bell peppers - 6 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- green onions, chopped - 1/2 c
- cooked rice - 3/4 c
- grated Romano cheese - 1/4 c
- tomatoes - 2 c
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- salt, pepper, oregano and basil to taste - 1 item
How to make stuffed bell peppers:
Saute in heavy skillet, butter, onions and garlic. When tender, add ground chuck and Worcestershire. Cook until meat is brown. Remove from heat and add tomatoes, rice, cheese and spices. Return to heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. While this is cooking, steam 6 bell peppers. Salt and pepper cooked peppers, fill with meat mixture and top with butter.
