Stuffed bell pepper
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- rice, cooked - 1 c
- American cheese, grated - 1 c
- stewed tomatoes - 1 c
- medium bell peppers - 6 item
How to make stuffed bell pepper:
Cut off top of peppers and remove seeds. Place in boiling water for 5 minutes. Cook ground beef and onion in shortening and drain. Add tomatoes, rice, salt and pepper; cover and simmer about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Then fill peppers with mixture. Put peppers into baking dish. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
