Cajun dirty rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 3 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- hamburger - 2 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- parsley, chopped - 1/2 c
- green onions, chopped - 1 c
- celery, chopped
- bay leaves - 2 item
- mushroom soup - 2 c
- raw rice - 2 c
- ground pork - 2 lb
- margarine, partially melted - 1/2 lb
How to make cajun dirty rice:
Combine all ingredients except rice and soup in a large Dutch oven and cook slowly for 4 hours, stirring once in a while.Note: Take bay leaves out after 2 hours.
Cook rice as directed on the package. Add mushroom soup to meat mixture and cook 30 to 40 minutes more. Add cooked rice and let steam until ready to eat. Serves about 15 people. A lot of work, but well worth it.
