  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1 tsp
  • bread crumbs - 1 c
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • minced green pepper - 1 tsp
  • grated American cheese - 1/2 c
  • acorn squash - 1 item

How to make stuffed acorn squash:

Bake squash in hot oven (400°) about 35 minutes or until tender. Cut into half lengthwise and scoop out center, leaving shells about 1/4-inch thick. Mash pulp and combine with remaining ingredients. Pile mixture into squash shells and place in moderate (350°) oven to brown. Allow 1 squash for 2 servings.
