Frosted banana bars
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- confectioners sugar - 4 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- butter or margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- 8 oz - 1 pkg
- mashed ripe bananas about 3 medium
How to make frosted banana bars:
Frosting:1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened4 c. confectioners sugar2 tsp. vanilla extract In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Add in creamed mixture and mix well. Pour into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until bars test done. Cool.Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Gradually add confectioners sugar and vanilla. Beat well. Spread over bars. Makes 3 dozen.
