- crushed pretzels medium fine - 2 c
- softened cream cheese, beaten some
How to make strawberry pretzel salad:
Second Layer:1 (8 oz.) softened cream cheese, beaten some1 c. sugar1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip Top Layer:1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello2 c. boiling water2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen halved strawberries First Layer: Mix crushed pretzels, oleo and sugar. Press in 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Cool.Second Layer: Add sugar to cream cheese at medium speed a little at a time. Add Cool Whip with mixer at low speed. Spread on top of cooled crust.
Top Layer: Bring water to boil; add jello and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat. Add strawberries and stir until berries soften and jello starts to thicken. Chill for 1/2 to 1 hour. Gently spread mixture on top of cream cheese layer. Refrigerate. When salad is set, cover with foil or plastic wrap.
