Squash dressing
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 oz
- black pepper - 1 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- chopped green bell pepper - 1/2 c
- cooked squash, drained and mashed - 3 c
- sage to taste - 1 item
- cornbread mix, prepared according to pkg - 1 pkg
How to make squash dressing:
Saute onions and pepper in oleo. Crumble cold cornbread; add to onion and pepper. Add milk, sage and black pepper. Mix well. Add soup and mix again. Add squash. Pour into casserole dish. Bake at 450° until brown. This freezes well.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Time to make, Side dish.
