Spinach salad
Ingredients/Components
- cider vinegar - 1/4 1/3
- white sugar - 3/4 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- ketchup
- corn oil - 1/2 1
- hard-boiled eggs, sliced - 6 item
- fresh spinach - 3/4 1
- salt if desired - 2 tsp
- pieces bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled - 6 item
How to make spinach salad:
Dressing:1/3 c. ketchup3/4 c. white sugar1/4 to 1/3 c. cider vinegar2 tsp. salt (if desired)1/2 to 1 c. corn oil1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Mix all dressing ingredients and let set 1/2 to 1 hour. Wash, stem and drain spinach. Tear spinach into medium sized pieces. In a large bowl, layer ingredients in the following order: spinach, onion, eggs and bacon. Make sure top layer is eggs and bacon. Just before serving, pour dressing over salad. Serves 8 to 10.Recipe categories: American, Salads, North american.
