Spinach salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 2
- vinegar - 2 oz
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- olive oil - 4 Tbsp
- fresh spinach - 12 16
- slices Bermuda onion - 4 item
- bacon crisp, chopped - 4 oz
How to make spinach salad:
Wash spinach, and remove any dark leaves or large bitter ones. Add onion, salt, pepper and 1 tablespoon olive oil; toss lightly.Combine remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil with bacon. Heat slightly. Sprinkle sugar and vinegar over spinach; toss lightly. Pour oil and bacon on salad just before serving. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
