  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 Tbsp
  • cornmeal - 2 c
  • chopped onions - 6 Tbsp
  • bell peppers - 2 Tbsp
  • jalapeno peppers - 2 Tbsp
  • sugar and red pepper to taste - 1 item

How to make hush puppies:

Mix all dry ingredients; add chopped onions and peppers, then beat milk and egg together and add to mixture. Drop small spoonfuls into hot grease.
