  • packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1/3 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • fresh spinach, torn
  • ketchup - 1/3 c
  • can water chestnuts, sliced and drained - 1 oz
  • can bean sprouts - 1 oz
  • small onion, sliced - 1 item
  • slices bacon, fried and crumbled - 6 item
  • hard-cooked eggs, peeled and diced - 4 item

How to make spinach salad:

Salad:2 qt. fresh spinach, torn1 (16 oz.) can bean sprouts1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced and drained6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled1 small onion, sliced4 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and diced In a large bottle combine all dressing ingredients. Shake well to mix; set aside. In a large salad bowl, toss all salad ingredients. Just before serving, pour dressing over salad and toss. Yield: 8 servings.
