Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/3 c
- cider vinegar
- poppy seed - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Dijon mustard - 1 Tbsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- fresh spinach - 1 lb
- strawberries, halved - 1 c
- pecan halves, toasted - 1 c
How to make spinach salad:
Poppy Seed Dressing:1/3 c. cider vinegar1/3 c. vegetable oil1/4 c. sugar1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper1 small onion, chopped2 tsp. poppy seed Remove stems from spinach; wash leaves thoroughly and pat dry. Tear into bite-size pieces. Combine spinach, strawberries and pecans; drizzle with Poppy Seed Dressing. Serve immediately. Yields 6 servings.Poppy Seed Dressing: Combine first 7 ingredients in container of an electric blender; process until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides. Stir in poppy seed. Yields 1 cup.
