Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • raisins - 2/3 c
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • cold coffee - 1/4 c

How to make spice cookies:

Cream sugar and shortening. Add coffee and egg. Stir in dry ingredients and raisins. Chill 1 hour. Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan until done in center. Cut into bars and glaze with powdered sugar glaze.
