Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- butter - 4 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- chopped parsley - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
- celery, diced - 1/4 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- stewed tomatoes - 2 c
- hot cooked rice or 1 1/2 c - 3 c
How to make spanish rice:
Brown beef in butter. Add onion, green pepper and celery. Simmer on range top until tender. Pour into 4-quart baking dish. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and rice. Blend well. Garnish top with chopped parsley. Bake 30 minutes in a 350° oven.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
