Ingredients/Components
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
- pkg - 1 3/4
- eggs - 3 item
- cold water - 1/2 c
- oil - 1/3 c
- rum - 1/2 c
- Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan or 12-cup Bundt pan
- water - 1/4 c
- sugar - 1 c
How to make rum cake:
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan or 12-cup Bundt pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan. Mix all cake ingredients together. Pour over nuts. Bake 1 hour. Cool. Invert on serving plate. Prick top. Drizzle and smooth glaze over top of cake. Allow cake to absorb all of glaze.Glaze:1/4 lb. butter1/4 c. water1 c. sugar1/4 c. rum Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in rum, water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and drizzle over cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low protein.
