- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- boiling water - 2 c
- cold milk - 1 c
- cornmeal - 1 c
How to make southern spoon bread:
Stir cornmeal into boiling salted water. Stir for 1 minute; remove from heat. Add butter; beat well. Add eggs. Beat in cold milk. Beat again. Pour into buttered baking dish. Bake 25 minutes at 350°. Serve from dish.Recipe categories: Breads, Side dish, Southern u.s..
