Southern pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 1
- eggs - 3 item
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- pecans - 1 c
- unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- dark Karo syrup - 1 c
- butter, melted and cooled - 4 Tbsp
How to make southern pecan pie:
Mix eggs, syrup, butter, sugar and salt. Add nuts and stir. Pour into prepared pie shell and bake in a preheated 450° oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 30 minutes.Allow pie to cool on rack for at least 30 minutes before serving.
