Southern pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- pecan halves
- dark Karo syrup - 1 c
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell crust - 1 item
How to make southern pecan pie:
Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy and add next 4 ingredients. Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie shell. Pour filling over pecans. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° and bake 45 minutes longer (outer edge of filling should be set and center slightly soft) or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
