- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- light corn syrup - 1 c
- pecan halves - 1 c
- unbaked pastry shell - 1 item
How to make southern pecan pie:
Combine butter, sugar and corn syrup; cook over low heat. Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved; cool. Add eggs, vanilla and salt. Mix. Pour filling into pastry shell and top with pecan halves. Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
